a day off.
The Blue Lagoon is a mixture of fresh and salt water. The ocean flows in on one side and streams from the mountain flow in from the other side. I looked at the beautiful blue water counted to three and jumped in. It was so odd to be swiming through salt and fresh water, one second you were freezing and the next your were warm. You could also see the fresh and salt water mixing. I swam out with some a friend and sat on a floating dock admiring the beauty of the jungle that surrounded us. Then my favorit part happened, it started to rain. It was so beautiful to watch the heavy rain drops fall onto the top of the blue lagoon. I just sat and soaked in the beauty. So good.
We finished our time at the Blue Lagoon, stuffed back into the bus and headed to Frenchmen's Cove an equally beautiful part of Jamaica. At Frenchmen's cove there was a grassy park that lead to a beautiful beach that had a fresh water stream flowing into it. We ran into the ocean and played in the waves and then relaxed on the beach.
My favorite part about Frenchmen's Cove was that it was far from the city, the beach was surrounded by the jungle. It was quiet and peaceful and beautiful. It helped me to slow down and relax.
After we left Frenchmen's Cove we went to the Jerk Center to have some famous Jerk Chicken. We went around to differnt sellers and had samples to find the best chicken, we baggened a bit and got our Jerk Chicken and it was so good.
After our bellies were full we got back on the bus and headed back to the ship. It was the end of an amazing day off that was full of good memories. In the mist of the busyness of my life God blesses me with times like these and I am so thankful.
Thanks God.
